Guide School
We have been in the outfitting and guiding business for over forty years with
a combined outfitting experience of 61 years. We have outfitted and guided in
Alaska, Idaho, and are currently going on forty years in Montana. The reason
we have starter this guide school is because a well-trained guide is becoming
harder and harder to find.
For any industry to flourish it must be managed and run by properly trained people. There is a right way and a wrong way to do just about anything. Come let us show you the right way!
Our guide school consists of a four week course
In the period of four weeks, we will teach you all the aspects of being a
Big Game hunting guide. From packing a string of mules to dealing with the most
difficult client.
Date of School
- June 1st - June 29th
- July 1st - July 29th
- August 1st - August 29th
This includes everything except your personal gear and transportation to the school.
Some of the things you will learn at our school:
- How to handle, pack, shoe, ride, and care for the livestock.
- Big Game knowledge and stalking.
- Bugling of Elk and other game calls.
- First aid, GPS, and map reading.
- The care, capping, and quartering of Big Game.
- Wilderness survival, camp, cooking and a lot of more.
We will teach you all of the laws, rules and regulations you will need to know to do the job of an outfitter or a guide.
In order to enroll in the school, we require a fifty percent non-refundable deposit with the balance due thirty days prior to your arrival. Payment plans can be made. Ask for more details.
